The mange-tout have shot up and are covered with flowers. Now is the time to go hunting.
I spy with my little eye! - the first of the crop. 'I'm gonna eat you little ...' mange-tout. They'll be coming thick and fast now.
Also young and tasty are the beetroot. 'I'm gonna eat you little ...' beetroot, leaves and all.
There's some of my tea sorted out.
MMMMM - Lovely! what you making? when shall we be around for? xx
ReplyDeleteLove the last picture! Its spooky. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid I havent got anything much to harvest at the moment mum apart from a few tomatoes. The carrots are struggling this year but the mixed salad leaves, strawberries and potatoes are doing really well.Hope yours were tasty!
ReplyDeleteWow they both look great, lots of tastey meals coming soon I think :)
ReplyDeleteMmm! We've given up on mange-tout - our plot seems to turn them mouldy whatever clever tricks Ben comes up with. So I am envious indeed! Thanks for asking for the blueberry recipes - I'll publish them over the next few days, as work allows. I think I'll begin with the blueberry and feta tart, as it was the real winner!
ReplyDeleteOoo nothing quite like fresh from the garden x
ReplyDeleteVicky.
We gave up growing peas because a certain someone I cannot name (don't want to incriminate myself)ate them straight from the plant so there were never any to bring indoors.

I bet they were delicious. I'm envious as the slugs have had my mange tout and I can't get my beetroot to germinate. Late crops for me this year.
ReplyDeleteGreat last photo!
