I have to do it now. I need encouragement. I need companions to join me and help me along. I cannot ignore it anymore.
I need to lose weight.
I've set myself a target of 1 1/2 stone, that's 21lbs. So here goes. Healthy eating and smaller portions is the order of the day. I shall be recording my progress every fortnight.
Oh gosh, I've done it now, haven't I. The world knows!
xx
Lol - the world does indeed now know. Tip I can give you - eat as much raw food as you can. It takes longer to chew which makes you feel full quicker and thus eat less. And is full of the nutrients (which haven;t been cooked away). And grow yourself some chickpea / lentil, etc sprouts to snack on between meals. Salad dressings - take some (80 - 100ml) plain yoghurt, add a teaspoon of prepared mayonnaise, garlic flakes, mixed herbs, salt & pepper. T'is better for you than the shop bought dressings and slightly more interesting than plain olive oil and vinegar.
ReplyDeleteGood luck, you can do it. x
ReplyDeleteGood luck, I have been doing the same, mine is coming off now xx
ReplyDeleteGood luck. I have been joining in with the 1000 miles in a year challenge and have been trying to have slightly smaller portions for the last couple of weeks. I definitely feel better, although I haven't stepped on the scales yet. X
ReplyDeleteGood luck Mum. I have been trying the slightly smaller portions and walking every day. While the weight does not seem to be coming off very quickly, I do feel much better.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I've been trying too. They found out my thyroid wasn't working and have upped my medication and hopefully that will help. I have more to lose than you,but I'll be encouraging your.
ReplyDeleteGo girl, you can do it. You just have to recognize the difference between healthy food and rubbish. Don't try and lose weight too quickly, give yourself time. I eat massive dinners, but they are full of veg. A same size plateful of stodge would block my insides up and pile on the pounds. A daily walk along the promenade would help. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteOh good luck to you. I'm in the same boat as you. I managed to lose half a stone from new year to April but nearly all back on again so need to persevere. After this evening I hope chasing chickens into the coop may knock off a few lbs!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck. With the warmer weather coming I tried on some summer skirts from last year and they were snugger round the waist than they should be so I need to shift my winter coat!
ReplyDeleteI need to lose weight too. I did lose half a stone at the beginning of the year but I've now put it all back on : ( (ashamed). I'm behind you in your efforts.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Mum.
ReplyDeleteMe too,Mum!
ReplyDeleteI'm in it with you!
I'm plodding along, 25lbs gone so far, 3 to go and it's that magic two stone!
ReplyDeleteI"m in!!!
ReplyDeleteI've been working at this since the new year and 17lbs down so far. Eating lots of fruit and veggies instead of breads and potatoes, walking every lunchtime at work. Really trying to get a handle on my emotional eating!
