Christmas Present

I seem to be making another collection - this time it's tea sets. Here's my present for this year. (A wonderful, bargain-ous find in the CS.)

It's Royal Albert Lavender Rose design.

I had a lovely cup of tea in one of the cups after Christmas dinner.

Here's last year's present. This set is called Trillium.

Cuppa anyone? I think I'll have enough china for the Tea Party in October now!

A very warm welcome to my new followers and to everyone who reads this blog - thank you for visiting and commenting. I love reading your blogs and even though I don't always comment IRYPT more often than not. I'm busy now thinking up my New Year Resolutions, which I may or may not note down here. I did pretty well with last year's lot. It's good to have a target. (Ooooh - work speak!!! No, no, no - I won't mention that word again.) It's good to have something to aim for. I feel that could be a title of another post - we'll see.

  1. I found a two tiered cake stand in the Lavender Rose for $10 a while back in Value Village.

It seems as if every spring, Royal Albert sets find their way out of peoples homes. Now if only they would start tossing out their Val d'Or or Rosenthal, I'd be happy.

  2. They are beautiful and tea tastes so much better out of a bone china cup and saucer. It is a real treat (especially if there is cake with it too!) xxx

  3. Your tea sets are truly gorgeous. :)

  4. That Lavender Rose design is very pretty! I used to have quite a collection of pretty teacups but have gotten rid of most of them. I started collecting Spode blue and white mugs and have used them for many years now. I find them lovely to drink out of, even if they are mugs!
    Judy xx

  5. I love pretty tea sets, drinking from them makes me feel thoroughly civilised!

  6. Cant believe you got a full set of cups and saucers! Hoping your resolutions will be inspiring.x

  7. What a pretty set!! Maybe I should give up the chuncky mugs and go for sweet tea cups like yours

  8. The trillium is Ontario's provincial flower so guess which tea set I love?!

  9. Thats a pretty set - very nice indeed xxx

  10. Irypt,, and love the Trillium set.

  11. Wow! that IS a nice tea set but I also like your last year set too.
I have no Royal Albert anymore it got broke over the years....I'm thinking I need some again!

    keep well

    Amanda :-)
