"Afterglow"
I'd like the memory of me to be happy one.
I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,
of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
I'd like the ears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun
of happy memories that I leave when day is done.

You certainly give me an afterglow of smiles.

Lovely tune, my dad's favourite, happy memories of him. It's funny how music can remind you of people and places. Thanks
ReplyDeleteI have never heard this before, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeletewow - I hear this tune almost every night, as I'm trying to drift off to sleep. Little known fact: it must end at 12:48 precisely, for the shipping forecast. (Apparently) That's why it seems endless.
ReplyDeletelove the blackpool post.
