Keep well

In order to keep a pineapple for as long as possible I slice it into discs, chop up the discs (discarding the centre bit) and then store the pieces in a lidded container in the fridge.

For carrots I peel and store the carrots in cold water in the fridge. The will last for a week this way and not shrivel or go mouldy.

Job done. Just got to find room in the fridge.

Keep well!

xx

  1. I try to so as much prep as possible when I bring my fruit and veg home. It makes absolute sense to keep it in tip top condition.

    1. Garden is just great - weeded to death because of lockdown and lovely to just sit in. Big changes for next year - going to grass over the veggie patch.

  3. Thanks Mum for these tips....always handy how to preserve food longer. I only found out the other day that I could freeze bananas....great when you have bananas which are over ripe. Keep well Amanda x
