Spring is sprunging

At last it feels like spring - lots of busyness going on both inside and outside today. My 'get up and go' is getting up and going!

Bread made,

garden rotated (DH) and weeded (me),

tea organised - mince and onion pie ...

... with carrots and potatoes. The first of the rhubarb picked (and some given away) to make a crumble,

Fruit cake (me) and Easter egg brownies (DD) made ...

... and floors mopped and

swept.

Spring has sprung. Let's hope it stays.

Der spring is sprung,
Der grass is riz,
I wonder where dem boidies is?

Der little boids is on der wing.
Ain't dat absoid!
Der little wings is on de boid!

  2. Rhubarb??? Do you force it? Ours is a small red curly bit just above the soil, the leaf. Our proper daffs are still buds, we had a blizzard at lunch time and its b***** cold. But, yes, the boids are singing.

  3. My rhubarb is keeping a low profile, but then it was almost drowned last year, several times.

  4. You are a crazy, funny woman. Spring has certainly put some high octane in your tank. Send me some of your energy, please.

  6. I was thinking that spring had sprung in Norfolk, but yesterday it was very (polite) cold again yesterday; not quite so bad today; but the daffodils are definitely out - yay!! Only a month or so late ....
