We're overrun

The trouble with growing your own is that everything has to be picked, sorted and dealt with, which takes a lot of time and effort.

The great thing about growing your own is that everything is fresh, natural, without preservatives (the odd slug here and there) and delicious. Plus the bounty can be shared with friends.

  6. It's definitely worth all the effort though. Your strawberries look delicious, my harvest is very poor this year as the plants are ones we inherited and I think they're past their best, plus I've been so short on time that the strawberry bed as been allowed to grow a little wild which is never good.

  8. How wonderful - I'm rather envious as I don't have a garden. I did grow some strawberries in a pot but I think my total yield was about 7, then one of them had been nibbled on! xxx
