List 52 - Week 12

I'm joining in with Dreamer's 52 list and am choosing small tasks that I've been avoiding and would like to do/finish. My list is written in my organiser and I hope this will give me a kick up the backside and spur me on. My twelfth week task is:

12. Tidy the cupboards in the kitchen. Take or give away any unwanted or unused items. You need to know exactly what you have in there!

I sorted out the cupboards and separated DD's 'bottom drawer' items (crockery, bakeware, glasses, teapot, pans), other items were sent to the CS.

Spurred on by neat and tidy kitchen cupboards I also blitzed the under stairs, the sideboard and the airing cupboard.

Whoa, steady - I still need some chaos.

Now my task is to stay tidy -

not a chance of that then!

  1. It's hard to stop once you get going. And then get restarted again once you stop. That was my experience anyway. Your cupboards look incredibly tidy now. I bet that feels good.

  2. You should be feeling very virtuous with all your tidy cupboards :)

  3. Greatly challenged by the phrase 'you need to know what you have in there' - I have one deep cupboard and it could have a corpse hidden away back in there for all I know!! Must add this one to my '52' list!! Lenten blessings xx

  4. Well done Mum. I managed to fettle our kitchen cupboards last week. There were things in there that went out of date years back!

  5. Well done! After tackling the cupboard under the sink as part of my 52 projects a couple of weeks ago I've been spurred on to do a few of the others. I have to say that not much permanently left the cupboards, but what's in there does fit properly now!

  7. All nice and tidy, unlike mine. I really should take a leaf out of your book, or filofax, and whilst on the subject of filofax, do I spy a new one there? Is it the Classic?

    1. 5 team points to you. Yes it is the classic and I kept walking past it in WH Smiths for about 6 weeks. It was in the sale and had 2011 diary pages in it. I gave in an purchased it for £15 and they threw in the 2014 diary pages. I'm going all Filofaxy geeky here - It's got the Today ruler and dividers for diary, notes, projects, information, financial and addresses. :)
My original non Filofax is still being used for information and addresses.

    2. You've got to be kidding, £15? Such a bargain, and a gorgeous colour, I do love the red filofaxes, both of mine are shades of red. I have the same divider titles in mine, I must do a post on my filofax actually, Mick bought me the dividers for Christmas and they're so cute. I'll have to let you see them.
