10. Holly and Ivy



From pictures in a book to patterns on a tablecloth holly and ivy are a symbol of winter celebrations.


Holly also grows in our front garden and ivy creeps around under the hedge.


''The holly and the ivy when they are both full grown,
Of all the trees that are in the wood
The holly bears the crown.'
