Tomato ketchup

This is similar to making chutney.

1kg tomatoes
2 onions
1 red pepper
80g sugar
100ml vinegar
spices of choice - garlic, mustard, cinnamon, mixed spice, ginger, salt, pepper

Soften tomatoes, onions and pepper then put through a sieve or blend.
Add sugar and vinegar
Simmer until thickened - 15 - 20 min
Put into hot sterilized jars.
