I'll show you mine if you show me yours

Pincushion, that is!

Here's Bun. She's held my pins for a long time and is looking a little faded and jaded.

She hasn't got many pins in at the moment as they are holding the backing on to my cot blanket while I sew it.

Once I'd got most of the pins off her I took out the needles and hunted for more which were buried deep inside Bun's body. I must have fished out 20 needles and I've got pin pricks on my fingers to show for it.

Hiya Bun, as I'm working around the blanket I'll prick you now with the pins I take out!

  1. I have several pin cushions, but only one I use all the time.

  2. I have a few pincushions but tend to use a monster size one that I made and filled with crushed walnut shells, they keep the pins sharp. I keep my needles in a little felt book that way I don;t get any nasty surprises from the cushion.

  3. I don't have a pin cushion as I don't do that much sewing, but what I do have is a sewing needle case I made at school when I was 11 years old, (over 55 years ago). As you can imagine it is showing its age and when I've finished what I'm working on at the moment a new needle case is a must. I still might keep this old one for nostalgia.

  4. I don't have a pin cushion. Instead I have a pin box and am forever pricking my fingers getting pins out.

    God bless.

  5. Bun's so cute, far too cute to stick pins in. I don't have a pin cushion, I keep all my pins in a tin.

  6. Very cute little fellow. I have lots of different pin cushions all over that I use upstairs, downstairs and when I went to sewing classes. None are quite as cute might I add. I hate it when I prick my fingers like that though.

  7. Cute!
I use a few different ones.
But I like my magnetic ones the best.
