One twelfth gone

… and we are into another month. New month, next divider - Hi there, February. There's a slight diversion here from the original poem to fit in with DD's picture, drawn when she was little on homemade paper.

New celebrations to look forward to,

new acquaintances perhaps to be made.

What I have made, or really acquired are these dividers which I found in a plastic box in the CS. Ah ha! Just a fit for my Filofax. Mind you, I didn't really know what I would do with them but they're very colourful and cheerful after the wet, damp, windy, grey days of January.

I have decided now that I will use them as a 'Filo, filing cabinet' for various lists and reminders.

eg

B - list of books read
T - how to set the time on the oven clock (I always forget and have to hunt around for instructions on the web.)
L - a list of things that have been lent to various friends
W - a list of unusual words that I don't know the origins of such as Doolally.
S - a list of silly sayings that people utter such as
'It's black over our Will's mother's'.

I don't think I'll be able to fill every letter though!

xx

PS - Welcome to my new follower. I hope you enjoy your visits.
PPS - I've filled a few more letter spaces with various notes and lists. Pretty soon I'll be permanently attached to a computer or a Filofax. I need to get out more!
:)

  1. I've never heard of that saying before. My Old Nan was full of great sayings and I try to remember them often x

  2. I think Dolally Tap comes from India, where people went a bit 'dolally' in the heat? I've not checked this out, so a bit uncertain ...
I used to keep a list of books I'd lent to people - some returned, some didn't. I now don't lend books, I prefer to buy someone the paperback and give it to them.
