My edging was slightly different this time round. As usual I edged with a double crochet but then I continued round with treble shells, ch 1 and then round again in the chain spaces with 1 dc, 1 tr, 1 double tr, 1 tr, 1 dc. I did one slip stitch across the shell below to get me to the next chain space.
The wool I used was donated to me from a dancing friend who can no longer see to knit. Her wool is being put to good use.
xx
its lovely too, I'm sorry your friend can no longer knit, I know how this feels
ReplyDeleteThat reminded me of a chess board, perhaps you could crochet one of those, and make all the pieces to go with it :o)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty x
ReplyDeleteThat lilac wool is a lovely shade, you are really whizzing along with these small blankets :)
ReplyDeleteThat is lovely.
ReplyDeleteI really like that edge. There are going to be some very lucky babies with your blankets.
ReplyDeleteI'm crocheting a baby blanket for my brother and SIL's new baby due in April and have been thinking about the edgings.
Lovely colours. :)
