Beautiful whispy seed heads are forming on the clematis ...
... and DD brought home 2 conkers. We always pick up the first conkers we find in Autumn, brown, shiny, tactile seeds which will be displayed and played with throughout the season.
Happy Autumn.
I love conkers when they are fresh out the shell with their gorgeous shine! x
ReplyDeleteHappy autumn to you too! I agree about conkers, they are just perfect.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteFirst, thank you so much for correcting the 5' for me. Indeed if I was 5" I would be too small for any bag! :)
Happy Autumn to you too. My Clematis are that whispy too. :) I am planing to pick some conkers with my son this weekend too. :)
xx
I have a ton of conkers - shame they don't keep the beautiful gloss for very long.
ReplyDeleteMy mum always tells me to bring conkers into the house to get rid of spiders. Last time I did this I found one spiders web formed around the conkers, so I suspect it is a falsehood! They are very beautiful though.
ReplyDeleteAutumn has to be one of my favourite seasons summer coming first ;-) Its such a beautiful time of year. Your clematis looks so pretty now. Got to love conkers they remind me of my childhood. Have a lovely weekend, dee xx
ReplyDeleteLovely photographs! My daughter has had great fun collecting conkers and beautiful leaves. and I have been harvesting my squash!
