Leek soup made with leeks from the garden today. I added a potato, an onion and some veggie stock. Fry, boil, whizz and eat. DH had this for lunch and I had a combination of yesterday's and today's soup.
Plenty left for tomorrow.
Well, so far this year, the iron's packed up (yeah - no ironing) and the fridge is on the blink (frozen eggs are not edible). Now what will go next?
My 'best bit' today has been birthday greetings from friends and family.
Hope your year's working well for you.
xx
darn, Aldi have leeks on their 29p display. Wish I had bought some now
ReplyDeleteMy heart bleeds - no iron! My iron really improved with a Boyesiron cleaning stick - highly recommend. I keep looking at the hand held steamers and wondering.
ReplyDeleteWell Happy Birthday from this friend.x
ReplyDeleteI find things often happen in threes too. Hopefully, it will be something small and inexpensive that isn't essential that packs up next and that will be your lot for a good while.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday and Happy New Year - the days fly by don't they?
ReplyDeleteSo far so good with the year - lost a tooth today but that was my own fault. Dentists are not my favourite friends and I rarely visit (hangs head in shame). Irons are reasonably inexpensive but modern refrigerators can be costly. Here's hoping your first NY's big purchase doesn't have to be a fridge
Happy Birthday. They say things go in threes!

Oh dear - hope nothing else goes wrong!

ReplyDeleteMy iron is acting up as well, but hopefully will keep working for awhile yet.
God bless.
