Christmas card writing time

The majority of my Christmas cards are everlasting. They are posted to friends one year and posted back to me the next year and so on. Some cards have been backwards and forwards since 1993.

This one's a little bit scruffy now but there's still room for more greetings.

Simple, frugal, eco-friendly and personal cards for the Christmas season.

Welcome new follower - I can see we have the same tastes.

  2. Well I never thought of that one, what a good idea! Altho this year some recipients are to receive a copy of one of my original water colours. Well I cant waste all that effort! Result not so brilliant but oh the effort.

  3. That's a good idea but I dread to think how much the cost of a stamp has gone up over the years. Or perhaps you just hand them to each other.

  5. Iona, about half of the cards I send are given directly to the recipient. I think it's 36p for a second class stamp. Ridiculous price.

  6. I don't "do" cards, except for immediate family because I think it's a waste of paper and money, but I wish I'd thought of that idea. Simple but brilliant and eco friendly!

  7. It's a lovely idea! Unfortunately most people I send cards to are not that way minded. I cheat with my British cards, they were left with my mother in June for her to hand out in December when I was over there. Cards aren't a big thing for people I know here in Australia, we'll likely post just 2!
