Most of my books travel around friends. We read book, we give away book. In between we may purchase books, usually from the CS. This book was given to me and was the 'next' in my pile.
I wouldn't choose it myself.
Looks like 'chic lit'.
Might be too frivolous.
I started reading.
Oh my goodness - it's getting quite explicit. Hope it's not one of those Fifty books.
I looked at the blurb on the back.
'Warm, sexy, satisfying.'
Ooh er!
'Will make you smile, sigh and cheer as this story proves love can be found in the most unexpected places.'
Actually this last review was quite correct. As the story unfolded I found it more and more difficult to put the book down.
It's another one of those easy read, pleasant story books, light-hearted and funny. As my friend would say, "It's a fluffy book that I read along side a more serious one."

I often read Freya North, fluffy is a very good description.

Ooh I say Mum!! Hope it doesnt give you any ideas?! I just bought another four books from the CS today, 25p each, a couple are a bit fluffy too, I only read on a night in bed to relax me so I dont want anything too heavy!!
ReplyDeleteI have so many books I want to read,,, but don't seem to be in 'reading' mood.
ReplyDeleteI like a nice easy read, something you don't have to concentrate too hard on. I buy most of my books from charity shops these days, I read them then pass them around friends and family before donating them back to the charity shop.
ReplyDeleteI was going to write pretty much what Joy said - fluffy is a good description for Freya North books.
ReplyDeleteI don't read nearly as much as I used to, but a witty, fun & light-hearted 'chick' book is one of my favourite escapisms.
My Michael is reading over my shoulder and hejust said that there is nothing like a fluffy bit in bed, I smacked him and put him on tea monitor duties for the weekend. As for those 50 shades of grey, sounds like the weather last summer, wet and dreary.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy a bit of fluffy now and again. I just love books.
