It's an addiction

Here's the second table runner made out of scraps of scraps.

There were 3 lots of different blocks of different sizes and not cut square (hadn't got my rotary cutter, ruler or mat) so I decided to quilt with lines close together to mask the blocks. I also used up lots of ends of different coloured threads.

It's guaranteed to start a migraine if you look at it too long!

But it's colourful, my own work (I think wobbly lines are my forte!) and part of my learning curve to better quilting. The next one may show a bit of progress.

Maybe, maybe not.

  1. I think you are hooked now!! Ha One thing I bought that has been a great help is a walking foot for my machine, do you have one? It makes quilting the top and putting on the binding so easy.

  3. I agree you do need a walking foot. I paid $90 CDN for mine, but it well worth the cost. Also you could try your hand at stippling but you also need a special foot for that as well, but it's not as costly.

  4. forgot to mention, if you ask your local sewing machine shop, they may have a second hand walking foot for a lot less money. I know when I bought mine, they had, had a second hand one for sale the day before but sold it.....which is flipping typical!!
