I excelled myself yesterday by walking nearly 5 miles. (Watch out, Iona, I'm nearly in the big league!) I had to stop for a little rest though.

I could have rested in one of the Victorian shelters on the promenade.

They have been restored and have lovely detail but are starting to rust again. They have a lot of battering with wind, rain and sea.

It was sunny yesterday and sunny again today.

Today's activity is Zumba and this afternoon I'm off tea dancing.

I should be wafer thin by now!

Caterina, greetings and welcome.

  1. It's Zumba for me later too ... followed by toad in the hole, baked beans and a glass of wine!! M x

    1. I've just had fish, chips, peas, broccoli and tinned toms followed by a chocolate biscuit and ice cream. Whoops, forget I said that.

  2. It must be really invigorating walking along the sea front. There's no sunshine here today.

  3. My goodness - do you ever stop! Walking is always so much nicer when the sun is shining!

  4. I can't wait until my knees get fixed and I can start walking again. It is probably the thing I miss most.

  5. I am ashamed to say that I do not exercise other than vaccing and mopping. So well done you. Tho I quite fancy the Zumba, looks fun.

  6. What a lovely walk - and how energetic of you! I am such a slug at this time of year.

  7. I feel motivated when I read of your walk, then it fades again lol..really though I walk so much at work and it is frustrating as they say it does not count,i often think my legs should be worn down to the knees by now, our little town is quite hilly so that is always the excuse I are doing great and such beaut things to look at along the way.

  8. You have certainly got a fabulous place to walk.I would never tire of it and all that lovely sea air too!

  9. Love the Victorian bandstand! Just beautiful. You have photographed it beautifully.

    Great work with the exercise!

  13. What lovely Shelters you have.
    Great photos.

Wish I had the energy for walking. Used to do a lot of it with my dog, we'd go for miles.

  14. Stunning shelters. What lovely colours.
