The walk today was around the grounds of Lytham Hall ...
... not to go around the Hall,
but to look at the snowdrops.
No, not the pond ...
... the snowdrops.
There were quite a few.
I like snowdrops. I really must complete this cross-stitch of the Snowdrop fairy.
She is one of my favourites from this book.
I used to have a Flower Fairy book when I was little - such lovely illustrations and poems.
Looks like a nice day for a walk. I love when the earliest flowers start blooming.
ReplyDeleteSnowdrops are not quite out in our cottage garden yet.
ReplyDeleteI love them! They were open in the grave yard yesterday.
I also have the flower fairies book-I love the illustrations and poems. I think it's more for adults than children don't you!
What a wonderful place for a walk, so uplifting with all those snowdrops to see. I keep promising myself a copy of The Flower Fairies, I must keep my eyes open for one.
ReplyDeleteLovely post - looking forward to seeing your cross stitch when you are finished.

ReplyDeleteI didn't realise there was a hall at Lytham. My cousin has lived at Lytham for years and her mum went to live there a few years ago.
ReplyDeleteI love those flower fairy pictures.
I also had the flower fairies book when I was little. I loved it and nearly wore it out because it was read so much. Still got it somewhere. Must have a look for it.
