It's time ...

... to pull up the mange-tout. They've gone over and the dried pods need picking for seed. A space will be made to plant out the leeks in their final place.

Among the plants and in the strawberry patch are these poppies.

They are all different. Some with a little frill,

and some with many frills.

Some big and some small. All beautiful.

The mange-tout seeds will be dried some more and put away to plant next year.

We're busy eating the potatoes now to make even more space for the leeks.

  1. That's what I'm trying to do, make room for leeks.

  2. Love the frilly poppies, you just can't beat spuds from the garden, ours aren't ready yet, xxx

  3. What lovely Poppies. We have some clumps of the dark red/orange. Tho they dont like the rain.

  4. Our mange tout have only just started podding but, like you, we're lifting the spuds to make room for the leeks (and kale)

  5. I love the purplish pink poppy!

Enjoy all those fresh garden vegetables.

    God bless.

  6. I have seen so many beautiful poppies like yours this year, I love them. I think we could maybe squeeze a few in here.

Thank you for your comments. it's always exciting reading them.
