Hidden corners

What's that behind the dressing table?

A necklace that has dropped down and large plain paper art books that are waiting for the paper to be used up.

What's that under the bed?

The dreaded weighing scales that weigh all wrong! Summer clothes that I hope to get out soon and a container for a spare duvet.

What's that between the wardrobe and the wall?

I've already fished out the Busted calendars and an old portrait from DD's college days plus the sweetie paper and tissue paper. There's still a tube to reach.

What's that under the loft bed? Why Lego, of course.

Not all Lego. There's an old patchwork quilt and some packing material and boxes that may come in handy.

I must clean behind and under things more often. Make a note!

xx

PS Here's the poster that was rolled up at the side of the wardrobe. I fished it out with the aid of a coat hanger.

I've censored the last word!

  1. Mum - If you weigh yourself on an uncarpeted surface then the reading will be more truthful - and the reflected number may even be less... lol

    1. In my previous house, I could make my weight vary by up to 6 lbs by putting the scales in different parts of the house. Bathroom floortiles gave best result - bedroom carpet the worst!!

  2. Aha! Good thinking, Batman. Perhaps it will get less if I cut out the chocolate as well.

  3. There's always something to be found when pulling out the furniture. I usually find things I've been looking for for ages.

  4. I think more than anything that this clearly demonstrates that our homes have too little storage capacity (or you hoard things, har, har!)

PS What's a loft bed when it's at home. I didn't know lofts went to sleep? Do you have a loft duvet as well and a loft pillow? Only joking, but curious all the same as to what on earth a loft bed is!

    1. Our loft has been converted into 2 rooms, both of which are bedrooms. So loft bed is my short way of saying 'the bed in the loft'. :)

    2. Oh, clever! Geddit now! We don't have much of a loft as we have a dornmer house with two bedrooms and a bathroom in what would be the roof space.
