DD must have heard it was my unbirthday because she bought me a present. Woowee! What a whopper!

It looks enormous next to my others.

There's more, there's more. She had bought me another present.

Woowee! Now that's a big one!

Hmmm! Should I start another project? What on earth do you make with a 20mm crochet hook?

Thank you for your comments yesterday. Here and here is more info about the Lords and Ladies plant.

  3. Thanks Mum. Cuckoo Pint is the name I recognise. The Dawn Patroller recognised it from your picture but didnt know a name. Tho he knew it had berries. I dont think he knew how poisonous it was - better tell him before he picks one for me!
Well - what do you do with a crochet hook that big? Is it easier to work with? I still havent made a start.

  5. There's this yarn called Zpaghetti, you'll need those 20mm hook for working with it. Dunno if you have it in England, tho...

  6. I love them for crocheting with strips of cloth -- rag rugs, baskets, etc.

  7. I did hear a suggestion once that 20mm hooks are wonderful for hiding your stash! You use about 10 balls of DK weight yarn at once and just make a scarf shaped piece... Then you unravel it when you are ready to make something!
