Lily of the Valley

These flowers grow in a very narrow shady border by the side of the house. They spread like mad and provide a lovely colour combination of green and white.

Lily of the Valley is sometimes called Ladders to Heaven. You don't have to climb them to enjoy their beautiful scent.

Who needs an air freshener in the loo when there is Lily
of the Valley around?

  1. Ohhh mum. How lovely. I wish I had a vase too!

I love the flower fairies as well! xx

  2. Very pretty, they look nice in that vase.

  3. Oh, I do love Lily of the Valley -I haven't seen any growing here - must check them out.

  4. Wow, Mum, they look so pretty and so delicate. Amazing creation!

    Arwedd xx

  5. I had completely forgotten until I read your post... We had Lily of the Valley in our garden when I was growing up!
My nan always allowed me to pick some and bring inside (obviously you don't want to give a child free-reign on picking flowers!), and that was so special!
Thank you for bringing back a memory - and the smiles that come with it!

  6. I love lily of the valley, my MIL had an entire bed of them. So sweet and delicate

  7. lily of the valley is my favorite flower. love the sweetness of the tiny flowers, the way they dangle on their stems, and oh! the scent!! mine are all budded up and should open within the week!

  8. Your flowers look lovely and one of my favorite flowers. I have tried to grow Lily of the Valley in my garden but it refuses to grow.

  9. I love Lily of the Valley. They are so cute!
