A walk on the pier

I regularly go for a walk to say hello to the sea. The promenade in summer is a busy place with holiday makers exploring the new promenade. The pier has been here since Victorian times.

Looking up the pier.

There are 2 kiosks ahead.

One sells beer and chips,

the other champagne and oysters!

View from the end of the pier south

Been to the end, now walk back.

Here are the kiosks again.

You can see the pier in the distance.

Mrs. T. - this walk was a few days ago. Today the weather has been changeable here. Mostly wet though.

  7. I'd go for the beer and chips rather than the champagne and oysters, nice to have a choice though. It's a long time since I've been for a walk on a pier.

  8. I'd definitely go for the chips, although I'd rather have a cuppa and some bread and butter with them! Especially after having that nice long walk!

  9. I wish I lived near enough to the coast to go and say hello to the sea more often. Just lovely.
