Alphabet Blogging - S

S is for Spring

The Vernal Equinox was yesterday and spring is officially here.

The weather today is sunny but still cold. Yesterday we had a biting wind and it rained. As the saying goes -

March comes in like a lion
And goes out like a lamb.

- so I hope the weather will warm up soon.

S is for Sowing Seed

Today I sowed parsnip (better late than never) and leeks straight into the ground.

S is for Should I?

Should I brush the breakfast in bed toast crumbs out of the bed before I make it in the morning or should I wait until the middle of the night when I turn over and find them? :)

  1. I haven't sown my parsnips yet, I'm still eating the ones left on the plot when I took it on. I'd better get my skates on.

  2. I am sowing seed and planting potatoes today, tomorrow I will be trying a new crochet pattern. I can not eat in bed, unless it is chocolate, but I do like my first cuppa of the day in bed. It helps me to gather my thoughts and finalise my plan of action.

  6. Spring is such a beautiful time of year, but I'm afraid here in Texas it comes in so quick and 2 weeks later... it's summer!! Or at least it seems that way, as we are already having summer days! But since it's cool out at night there are no mosquitoes, so I'm completely enjoying the weather!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend,
    Much love,

    1. Not yet Carol. I'll blog when we do ours. DH usually starts a few off in pots in the greenhouse. We don't plant out until May is in full swing.
